My name is Tim and here at Tucson Analog Workshop I specialize in the repair of Leica film cameras and vintage cassette decks. I also digitize archival audio recordings.
...I'm also a filmmaker, photographer and fan of all things analog. In fact, I've been in love with analog technology since I a kid. At age 5 I took my first photo (on my Mom's Instamatic 126 camera) and at age 12, I shot my first roll of Super 8 film.
Naturally I'm excited (and amazed) to see an analog resurgence in the
21st century!
I started Tucson Analog Workshop to help keep this important vintage equipment alive and thriving...
As these classic devices age (and become rarer), it is important to find a technician who understands and respects their quirks if they are to continue being useful into the future.
I don't just replace parts--I get to know each item, and care for it as though it were my own.
Analog sounds and images are physical....
They have a visceral impact that digital can never replicate
